Michael Han

Ambience Healthcare, a leading AI platform for clinical documentation and revenue integrity, has appointed Michael Han, MD, MBA, as its Chief Medical Officer (CMO). 

In his new role, Dr. Han will lead the company’s clinical strategy as Ambience expands beyond ambient documentation to deliver AI-powered intelligence that enhances clinical workflows, revenue integrity, and operational performance across health systems.

The appointment represents a significant milestone for Ambience as it strengthens collaborations with leading health systems and academic medical centers to develop next-generation AI-enabled clinical infrastructure. Dr. Han joins the company following the introduction of its multi-year platform roadmap at the inaugural Apex Summit, reinforcing Ambience’s vision of embedding AI-generated clinical intelligence throughout the healthcare ecosystem.

As CMO, Dr. Han will work closely with the company’s clinical, product, and commercial teams to guide product development, support customer success, and ensure Ambience’s solutions address the real-world needs of clinicians. His leadership will help shape AI applications that improve clinician experience, care coordination, patient engagement, revenue integrity, and clinical research.

Dr. Han brings more than 20 years of experience spanning clinical care, physician leadership, and health information technology. Most recently, he served as Enterprise Chief Medical Information Officer at MultiCare Health System, where he led clinical informatics, electronic health record (EHR) strategy, and enterprise application governance. He previously held leadership positions at Providence and Pacific Medical Centers, serving as Chief Medical Information Officer and Chief of Surgery.

Board certified in both urology and clinical informatics, Dr. Han has been recognized as a leading urologist in the Seattle and Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas. His appointment reinforces Ambience Healthcare’s commitment to delivering clinically meaningful AI solutions that improve healthcare delivery and operational excellence.
