Mike Dineen

Rhythm AI has appointed medtech veteran Mike Dineen as its Chief Executive Officer, strengthening its leadership as the company advances the commercialization of its STAR Apollo™ Mapping Software for atrial fibrillation (AF) treatment. 

Dineen brings more than 30 years of experience in the medical technology industry, with a proven track record of guiding cardiovascular innovations from early development through regulatory approval, commercial launch, and successful acquisitions.

The appointment comes at a pivotal stage for Rhythm AI following the FDA 510(k) clearance of its STAR Apollo Mapping System for compatibility with Johnson & Johnson's CARTO™ 3 Mapping System, complementing its existing compatibility with Abbott's EnSite™ X EP System. The technology enables physicians to generate patient-specific maps identifying the origin of atrial fibrillation, helping improve the precision and efficiency of catheter ablation procedures. With compatibility across two of the most widely used cardiac mapping platforms, the company is well positioned to accelerate its U.S. commercial expansion.

Before joining Rhythm AI, Dineen co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Tioga Cardiovascular, where he led the development of a transcatheter mitral valve replacement system. Earlier, as CEO of Kalila Medical, he guided the company from prototype development through regulatory approvals, commercial launch, and its acquisition by Abbott.

Dineen has also held senior leadership positions at Maya Medical, Aragon Surgical, and Concentric Medical, contributing to business development, product commercialization, and strategic growth. A named inventor on more than 60 U.S. patents, he holds a bachelor's degree in Biology and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

As CEO, Dineen will lead Rhythm AI's commercialization strategy, product expansion, and market growth, supporting the company's mission to advance innovative technologies that improve the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation.
