Sharath Pasupunuti

Sidecar Health has appointed Sharath Pasupunuti as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), strengthening the company’s leadership as it continues to scale its consumer-driven health insurance platform.

In his new role, Pasupunuti will oversee engineering, data, and platform development. He will also guide the company’s artificial intelligence and technology strategy as Sidecar Health expands its digital infrastructure to improve healthcare price transparency and create a more intuitive healthcare shopping experience for members. These efforts support the company’s broader goal of transforming how health insurance works for employers and employees by introducing greater consumer choice and helping reduce healthcare costs.

Pasupunuti brings nearly 20 years of experience in building large-scale, AI-enabled technology platforms across healthcare and enterprise systems. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Hinge Health, where he played a key role in scaling the company’s product and engineering capabilities for its digital musculoskeletal care platform.

Before joining Hinge Health, Pasupunuti held the role of Vice President of Engineering at GE Healthcare. In that position, he led the development of the Edison AI platform and managed global teams delivering clinical and operational artificial intelligence solutions for healthcare providers.

At Sidecar Health, Pasupunuti will focus on expanding the company’s technology systems designed to simplify healthcare access. The platform enables members to view clear treatment costs upfront, automate claims processing and payments, and access accurate provider and pricing information to make faster and more informed care decisions.

As CTO, he will also expand the company’s engineering and data teams while strengthening the technical foundation supporting Sidecar Health’s growth among large employers and healthcare consumers.
