Xavier Bertrand
Boston Scientific has announced the appointment of Xavier Bertrand as President and Senior Vice President for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
Bertrand will lead the regional business while serving on the company’s Executive Committee as part of its global leadership team.
With 25 years of experience in the medtech industry, Bertrand brings a deep understanding of the sector and a visionary approach. He has led commercial efforts across Boston Scientific’s Peripheral Interventions, Healthcare Partnerships and Solutions, Structural Heart, and Interventional Cardiology divisions, alongside cross-divisional roles in business development and finance. These experiences position him to drive innovation, collaboration, and growth across the diverse EMEA region.
Bertrand's strategic priorities include expanding the company’s presence in the region, harnessing cutting-edge technologies to improve patient care, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and excellence within the organization.
He succeeds Eric Thépaut, who retires after a decade of successful leadership in the region.
