Apollo Medical Holdings, a prominent healthcare company focused on empowering providers to deliver high-quality, accessible care, has announced a strategic, long-term partnership with BASS Medical Group, one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. The collaboration aims to enhance BASS Medical Group's capacity for value-based care and operational efficiency, enabling effective participation in total cost of care arrangements and the development of integrated care models that combine primary and multi-specialty services. Together, the two organizations aspire to extend quality care through value-based agreements to patients across various insurance types, including Medicare, Medicaid, ACA Marketplace, and Commercial plans.
As part of the partnership, BASS Medical Group plans to transition its existing value-based agreements to this new collaboration, with ApolloMed serving as the exclusive partner for all future value-based initiatives. To facilitate the partnership, ApolloMed intends to implement its value-based care platform and care enablement solutions across BASS Medical Group's network of over 400 providers and nearly 200 locations in Northern California over the coming quarters. Additionally, ApolloMed plans to leverage BASS Medical Group's multi-specialty group to expand into new markets and serve communities in Santa Clara and Alameda Counties, while strengthening its presence in San Mateo, San Francisco, and Stanislaus Counties.
To support BASS Medical Group's growth and commitment to quality care, ApolloMed has provided a $20 million senior secured promissory note. This funding will be used collaboratively to expand BASS Medical Group's reach and invest in accessible, high-quality primary and multi-specialty care for communities throughout California.
