Cognizant announced it has completed its acquisition of TMG Health, a leading national provider of business process services to the Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D and Managed Medicaid markets in the United States, supporting 32 health plans and more than 4.4 million members in all 50 states.
The combined capabilities of TMG Health and Cognizant's TriZetto healthcare administration software platforms establish Cognizant as the top provider of enhanced business process platforms, digital solutions and services for government and public managed healthcare programs in the U.S., and extends Cognizant's leadership as a fully integrated healthcare technology and operations provider.
TMG Health's primary facility near Scranton, Pennsylvania will serve as Cognizant's National Center of Excellence for Medicare/Medicaid services, providing clients with services ranging from member enrollment to care management, using a predictable, cost-effective business process-as-a-service (BPaaS) model. Cognizant's BPaaS solutions combine a cloud-based infrastructure, collaboration and intelligent automation platforms, and deep subject matter expertise to perform knowledge work and deliver pre-configured, best-in-class services to health plans.
