410 Medical to Participate at 2017 Advanced Pediatric Emergency Medicine Assembly

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

410 Medical, Inc., a medical device company focused on developing innovative technologies for the resuscitation of critically ill patients, today announced it will participate in the 2017 Advanced Pediatric Emergency Medicine Assembly (PEM) being held April 25 – 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Organized by the American College of Emergency Physicians, PEM is one of the largest annual gatherings of healthcare professionals solely dedicated to the practice of pediatric emergency medicine in the U.S.

"As a pediatric intensivist I frequently care for critically ill children in need of rapid fluid resuscitation. Unfortunately, the methods we currently use to deliver fluids are labor-intensive, slow, or imprecise," said Mark Piehl, Chief Medical Officer at 410 Medical. "We developed LifeFlow to overcome these barriers and enable clinicians to reverse shock by more efficiently meeting fluid resuscitation guidelines in children."

LifeFlow is an easy-to-use device that allows health care providers to rapidly and efficiently deliver fluids to critically ill patients with conditions such as sepsis and shock. LifeFlow allows a user to deliver 500 milliliters of fluid to a patient in less than two and a half minutes.

Participants at PEM can meet 410 Medical staff and see demonstrations of the LifeFlow device in the exhibit hall at Booth #208.

The Company initiated a limited market release of LifeFlow in November 2016 through an early evaluation program, which yielded positive results and feedback.  Based on the success of this program, 410 Medical is expanding LifeFlow's release to hospitals and emergency medical services (EMS) organizations nationwide.
