Lunit Expands AI Imaging in East & Southeast Asia: Partners with Chung Shan Medical University and Gleneagles Hospital Singapore

Tuesday, March 12, 2024

Lunit, a prominent provider of AI-powered solutions for cancer diagnostics and therapeutics, has announced significant expansion into East and Southeast Asia with two supply contracts. These contracts involve supplying its Lunit INSIGHT CXR for chest abnormality detection to Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan and its Lunit INSIGHT MMG for mammography analysis to Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore.

Under the agreement with Chung Shan Medical University (CSMU), Lunit will collaborate with the esteemed institution to introduce AI in lung cancer detection. The partnership aims to potentially transform Taiwan's national lung cancer screening program by validating Lunit INSIGHT CXR for broader integration. Unlike the current reliance on low‐dose computed tomography (LDCT) for high-risk individuals, CSMU aims to assess the accuracy and efficiency of Lunit INSIGHT CXR for a wider screening audience. Success in this endeavor could significantly improve early detection and outcomes in lung cancer screening across Taiwan.

Simultaneously, Lunit will deliver its AI-powered mammography analysis solution, Lunit INSIGHT MMG, to Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore, which is part of the prominent private healthcare group IHH. Gleneagles Hospital seeks to enhance breast cancer screening accuracy and operational efficiency by integrating Lunit's technology seamlessly into its workflow. As a leading private healthcare provider in Southeast Asia, Gleneagles Hospital is committed to maintaining exceptional healthcare standards and aims to leverage Lunit's expertise to advance its breast cancer screening capabilities.

These agreements represent Lunit's strategic expansion efforts in East and Southeast Asia, focusing on leveraging advanced AI technology to improve cancer diagnostics and therapeutics in the region.
