Wednesday, November 14, 2018

US Radiology Specialists, one of the premier physician-owned radiology groups in the country, announced today a partnership with Diversified Radiology, one of the most well-respected subspecialized radiology practices in the United States.

Diversified Radiology, based in Denver, is a team of top-tiered radiologists trained in a full range of subspecialties, including neuroradiology, body imaging, cardiac, vascular, pediatric, breast, nuclear/PET and musculoskeletal imaging. As part of the partnership, Diversified Radiology's 65-plus physicians and supporting management services organization will become part of the US Radiology team. In addition, Diversified Radiology, which has a national reputation for its subspecialized teleradiology services, will be an integral part of US Radiology's nationwide teleradiology network, enhancing its ability to offer 24-hour coverage.

"We are very excited to partner with Diversified Radiology," said John Perkins, CEO of US Radiology. "Their team of highly specialized radiologists and skilled service professionals fit in extremely well with our vision for US Radiology. They will be a critical part of our operations in Colorado and throughout the country as we continue to grow our state-of-the-art, 24-hour teleradiology platform."

"US Radiology provides high-quality radiology groups like Diversified Radiology with an alternative path that doesn't exist today," said Sean Bryant, MD, Chairman of the Clinical Governance Board of Diversified Radiology and a US Radiology Specialists Board Member. "Joining their team allows us to maintain clinical control of our practice and benefit from their extensive capabilities and investments, further accelerating our growth and advancing our technology. The bottom line is this: our partnership with US Radiology will help us continue to provide the highest quality of care to our patients."

US Radiology, one of the largest and most progressive radiology groups in the country, was formed with the backing of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), a leading healthcare investment firm.

Kip McMillan will continue in his role as CEO of Diversified Radiology, and the company name will remain the same.
