GenomeDx Biosciences, a leader in the field of urologic cancer genomics, announced today that Cigna® issued positive medical policy coverage for Decipher® Prostate RP and Decipher Prostate Biopsy, effective immediately. Cigna's coverage decision reflects the recent inclusion of Decipher in the 2018 National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN) Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology for Prostate Cancer. Coverage is provided for newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients with low or favorable-intermediate NCCN risk group disease as well as for patients with persistent or recurrent PSA following radical prostatectomy (surgical removal of the prostate).

In addition to the Cigna coverage decision, several regional private insurers in the United States, representing over 6 million lives, now cover Decipher for newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients or patients with adverse pathology upon radical prostatectomy.
About Decipher Cancer Classifier Tests and GRID
GenomeDx's Decipher prostate and bladder cancer classifiers are clinical, commercially available oncology tests that provide a genomic assessment of tumor aggressiveness for individual patients.
